I was listening to Gavin Barry & Rob on ProPhotoShow.net, while they started answering the question about what qualifies a person to photograph a wedding. After listening to 1 and a half answers I really felt urged to answer the question myself.
Having covered my 1st wedding in 1981 and my first paid wedding several years afterward and having asked many post wedding folks (not just my clients) about their photography experience, I feel I am well qualified to answer this.
Take a listen and tell me what you think. (I didn’t realize the windscreen on the telephone microphone was missing so I apologize for the quality of the audio.)

Brides, let’s look a few months in to the future. You’ve enjoyed your wedding day, and you and your guests are in great anticipation to seeing all the Wonderful Wedding Photography that was captured.
Problem is that everyone is calling, texting, emailing and otherwise messaging you asking the same question. When can I see them. It’ll get frustrating after a while.
Here’s the solution! Have personalized cards created that already have the image viewing information printed on them and give them away at the reception! The cards should have the website where they can be viewed as well as a phone number to call if they have any problems viewing them (Otherwise any web challenged viewers will be calling YOU).
This sly solution will double as a wonderful memento of your wedding day. Your Family & Friends would want this creative card even if it didn’t have the information!
Studio Galvan understands how valuable this little used solution is to their wedding photography clients and gives it away as a part of their service!
Check out this Photo-Video some recent Wedding Thank You Cards we have created.
Amanda & Larry’s
Amanda & Larry are celebrating their 2nd Wedding Anniversary today! They commissioned me to do their wedding photography at in 2009. The ceremony took take place in Conroe, Texas at St. Mark Lutheran Church & Chantilly Country! Chantilly Country is a lakeside banquet facility operated by owners Dave & Pam Carter.
Here’s their Wedding Video that I created from favorite Wedding Day Photos. If you like the style of the wedding photography, please leave a comment and click one or more of the social buttons below.
Allison & William Goodrum are a really sweet couple whose Woodlands/Conroe Wedding I had the privilege of photographing on the 20th of November this year!
Engagement Portrait Session
First we created Engagement Portraits of them at Mercer Arboretum here in Spring, TX.
Bridal Portrait Photography
I usually don’t post the images before the Bride has had the opportunity to view them projected here at the office but Allision’s been pretty busy & her mom and friends are anxious to see them. So here’s a Portrait-Proofing Video. Be sure to tell me what you think.
We started their Woodlands wedding photography at St Simon & Jude. Here’s a Photo-video of the day’s Wedding Photography. I added a couple of Bridal & Engagement portraits as well to make it more complete.

I was invited to the Grand Opening/Open House of the Cypress Event Center! The Center is new but Kim Jordan and Sharon Brimmer are in no way new to the event planning scene. To read a little more about them check out the Cypress Event Center Staff webpage.

I met some old friends there and made some new ones as well. If you’re looking for a venue that you can decorate to suit your taste, and is reasonably priced, I encourage you to visit their website for details and contact information.
So you’ve made it past the aquisition of the Ceremony and Reception venues, commisioning your cake, photography, meal and many other professionals and now your wondering how you should plan your pre wedding activities. Specifically how much time you should plan for your hair, makeup, pre-ceremony portraits etc.
I have located an great article on how to do just that! You might be surprised at how much time is recommended by this professional but after having covered many a wedding with late Brides, Bridal Party members and/or family members, I wholeheartedly agree with the suggestions. Check out the article here.
Tomball Wedding Photography
I am pleased that Angelica & Obed selected us to be their Wedding Photographers! We created Engagement Portraits at Mercer Arboretum, and their Ceremony at Faith Tabernacle UPC church in Tomball. The Reception was right across the street (how convenient) in the Villa at La Tranquila Ranch.
Here’s some of my favorite images of our wedding couple. If you are someone who was at the wedding, please leave a comment about my service and the photography that you have seen. Also be sure to let other people know about me as most of my business is from referrals. Thanks.
