Hello You All (does that sound Chicagoan?),
Remember the Free Wedding Giveaway that Kim Jordan introduced me too? Well Here’s the Wedding Day Images!
What an incredibly beautiful day for this Darling couple! I had the priviledge of capturing the Pre-Ceremony Portriats through the Processional.
Those who would like to order Prints, Albums, Greeting Cards etc, will be able to use the Custom Ordering Site that I’ve set up for Calencia & John. It should have the images available by Tuesday. Until the event is released you can sign in and get a $5 Gift Credit!
Additional Images created by Thomas Ross will follow …
Congratulations to Meg and Frank on their beautiful wedding. They’ve been trying to get hitched for a year now and it happened on the 7th of November at Le Jardin Gardens. Although most of the events took place indoors the weather was gorgeous for the early outside Portraits! View the images on their Pictage site.
Family Services of Greater Houston and “The Ask Kim Jordan Show” put twogether (pun intended) a Free Wedding Giveaway for a couple completing a wedding workshop by the 3rd of October 2009. This Wedding Giveaway included an Engegement Portriat and Wedding Coverage by “Yours Truly” !
Congratulations to Calencia & John on this Major Blessing! I just finished editing their images last night and I created this video of them.
Engagement Portrait Video
The Wedding will be at Cypress Lakes Golf Club. I’m Looking forward to the Wedding Day!
Bridal Portraits
The talented cartoonist Adriana Vargas & Alex Blake’s Wedding was everything a Bride could ask for! Beautiful Church, Beautiful weather, a handsome groom, enthusiastic family & friends, wonderful co-ordinator Kayla McDaniel, one of the best DJ’s I’ve worked with DJ Tera & MC Wayne (actually the best DJ & MC team I know) and an awesome photographer (of course)!
Check out their Vid!
The ceremony took place on The Woodlands at St Simon & Jude. Sunlight coming through the back upper window gave me several opportunities to create awesome images. This type of light only last for a few minutes but if a photographer is alert, aware and has the expertise the photographer can create something spectacular. more…

A week and a half ago I had the privilege of helping celebrate the opening of a new Event Venue in Northwest Houston! The Grand Hall held it’s Grand Opening on the 27th of September. As I had the opportunity I visited with some old and new friends in the Wedding Business.

This past summer I was asked by Kim Jordan to appear on Her Wedding Show! Here’s the Clip.
Well, it could use a better cover image, but other than that, what do you think?
Who hasn’t discussed the Ailing Economic Environment that has gripped the nation? It seems that everyone except the folks at the higher levels of Government are cutting costs everywhere they can. My question to you is, years down the road, will you have chosen wisely in the areas of cost cutting where your wedding is concerned?

Once the wedding is over, there is very little that remains. The dress may be stored away to be viewed on rare occasions and a few trinkets such as a leftover invitation as well, but what about all that money that was spent on the Rental of the Church, the Reception, the Tuxedos, etc. What about all the money that was spent on the food, the Band or Mariachis, the cakes, the liquor? All of it will be gone in less than a day. What you will have left will be the MEMORIES of those things. more…
They say I should be posting at least twice a week. Hmmm. It’s been toooo long since my last post.
But I do have some exciting news. I’m going to be on TV tonight! See me on The Ask Kim Jordan show which airs Friday nights at midnight on Houston’s 55 KTBU “The Tube”. (OK technically it’s Saturday morning but I know you’ll be up anyway so “Turn On the Tube”). Kim has been involved in the wedding industry for years. One of the things that she does is interview wedding experts like myself to give advice to brides and coordinators about all types of wedding related topics.
Tonight she is revealing some of the prizes that she will be giving away for the “Twogether In Texas Website“. What’s that?! Didn’t I tell you about this? (I really need to start posting more often). Check it out on their website.
NEW WEDDING FACILITY
Yesterday I visited a brand new wedding facility just north of The Woodlands. (A Conroe address actually.) It’s absolutely first class and has the biggest bride’s dressing area and kitchen I have ever seen! Debra and her husband have invested an incredible amount into making this one of the most beautiful & comfortable venues in the area. Her rates are comparable to other similar locations but include many of the amenities that others don’t! Those of you who are looking for a wedding/reception location you need to check out this place. Their website is BelleRoseMaison.com .
A CHANCE MEETING
The reason I was there is I was being interviewed for the Ask Kim Jordan Show and Kim knows I love places with more…
… visited with me yesterday to commision me to cover their wedding next month! It will take place in Conroe, Texas at St. Mark Lutheran Church & Chantilly Country! Chantilly Country is a lakeside banquet facility operated by owners Dave & Pam Carter. I see they need a better portrait of themselves to put on their site. (Perhaps I can help them out with that!)
I want to remind all the family members (both immediate and extended) that we will be creating a series of family portraits immediately after the ceremony. We will start with the parents. If they are as excited/dazed as most parents are after their child just got married they may not remember that they are up for portraits. Give them a gentle reminder. As of now we plan to capture the group portraits of the bridal party at Chantilly Country so unless they are in the family there will be no photographic need for them to stick around the church. Thanks!
For those that will want to view the Wedding images, go to the Viewing/Ordering Site and create a login by signing the Guestbook. Once the images are released (either by me or Amanda), you’ll automatically be notified! (You’ll also get a $5 credit, but only if this is done before the images are released.)
