I was invited to the Grand Opening/Open House of the Cypress Event Center! The Center is new but Kim Jordan and Sharon Brimmer are in no way new to the event planning scene.  To read a little more about them check out the Cypress Event Center Staff webpage.

I met some old friends there and made some new ones as well. If you’re looking for a venue that you can decorate to suit your taste, and is reasonably priced, I encourage you to visit their website for details and contact information.

Catherine & William’s Houston Oaks Wedding
Listen with webreader

Bridal and Wedding Photography

Catherine is from the Hutto area (North East of Austin).  I had the pleasure of creating some artistic Bridal Imagery of her in her wedding gown.  The session will be taking place a her friends gorgeous home in the Memorial Woodway area. She married a wonderful fellow who I didn’t get to meet until the day of the wedding. He’s a fun, handsome and easy going guy and they all had a great time at the wedding.

Panoramic Photo of the Glass Conservatory

The Glass Glass Conservatory

Where?  At the fabulous Houston Oaks Golf and Country Club.  With a name like that you’d think it was within the loop but it’s just North of Hockley Texas Northwest of the Houston area.  It’s a sprawling location; no way it could fit in Houston.

St Simon & Jude – Shirley Acres Wedding

With This RingThe talented cartoonist Adriana Vargas & Alex Blake’s Wedding was everything a Bride could ask for!  Beautiful Church, Beautiful weather, a handsome groom, enthusiastic family & friends, wonderful co-ordinator Kayla McDaniel,  one of the best DJ’s I’ve worked with DJ Tera & MC Wayne (actually the best DJ & MC team I know) and an awesome photographer (of course)!

Check out their Vid!

The ceremony took place on The Woodlands at St Simon & Jude.  Sunlight coming through the back upper window gave me several opportunities to create awesome images.  This type of light only last for a few minutes but if a photographer is alert, aware and has the expertise the photographer can create something spectacular. more…

What happened to the colorful Image Showing Light & Shadow?

Light & Shadow

I had the privilege of being the Featured Speaker last night at the Woodlands United Methodist Church Church Camera Club.  Wow what a great turnout!  Jean Drummond made sure I wouldn’t be hungry while giving my lecture serving up a huge Hoagie sandwich.  Wayne Wagner of Wagner Direct was there and brought a fine Digital Projector for us to give our presentations.  Among others I also had the opportunity to meet another Carlos.  Carlos Hernandez who is one of the few people who I know who regularly used Kodachrome with an ASA (ISO) of 16 and slower!  I  myself used the more…

This past summer I was asked by Kim Jordan to appear on Her Wedding Show!  Here’s the Clip.

Well, it could use a better cover image, but other than that, what do you think?
