The trick is to make all your backups automatic or it won’t get done. My host backs up my blog as part of their service to me. Fortunately, I don’t even have to think about it. Fortunately, I haven’t had to think about it!

Hi there! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any trouble with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing several weeks of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any methods to protect against hackers?

I am strictly an amature who loves beauty and technology. In my 87 years I have seen an unbelievable amount of change.

Now that I have time I am learning how to use my digital Pentax K20D.
We have had some great speakers and your lecture was tops and I learned many practical bits of info on both action and portrait photography. Thank you – Both of your planned talks will be of great interest.

Thanks for your presentation. I only got to see the last part of it but I relish photography with natural light. Given the option, I would never use flash but if required, never use it directly, always bouncing it off of something else to emulate natural light the best I can.

Depending on the water itself, you can create that effect by using the appropriate Shutter Speed. By appropriate I mean SLOW. 1 second or more will usually do the trick. That slow shutter obviates the need for a Tripod or other solid form of camera rest.

Hello,

Thank you for your lecture at the Woodlands United Methodist Church this week.

I have a question about moving water, as in waterfalls. I have noted that some photos have water that looks like a smooth-flowing cloud coming over the falls…a mystical look. Do you have any suggestions as to how to obtain that effect?
